The Mission that was inside the Alamo. This is all I ever looked at before, but today, we walked the grounds, listened to a lecture about the Battle, learned a lot about the History of San Antonio, and read a LOT of material about the people that lost their lives here. I never knew before that there were about 20 women and children that were inside this building and were spared. All the men were killed. I didn't know that Santa Ana let the women out after the battle was over.
